Well, it's almost time for Tiffany and I to pack up our stuff and head to our next destination. The farm in Kentucky will be expecting us on the 25th, which is just around the corner. There, we'll be camping in the woods bordering the farms apple and peach orchard.
Work has been really hard to come by around here. Tiffany worked a few days last week for her Aunt Lee, helping clean and setup a summer camp for the local Boyscouts. I was working for a Driveway Sealcoating Company, which was fun, and it paid. But the guy who owns the company started to get really shady, and eventually stopped answering my calls. I found out later that he's been suspected of being a drug dealer, and he's been arrested from his house multiple times in the past. Needless to say, I no longer work for him.
Since the work has run out, Tiff and I have become alot more involved in our crafts. I've been Drawing in my sketchbook almost every day and I just picked up woodburning as my new favorite craft. Tiffany has been doing alot of knitting, crocheting and jewelry making. She finished the baby blanket she's been working on for the last couple months, along with baby booties, and arm warmers, and she sold all the necklaces she made.
We've been diligently keeping up on the garden we planted a few weeks ago. Watering it every day, keeping it weeded, and adding fish emulsion when needed. It's coming along beautifully. We lost a couple of plants, but id say 95% of them seeded, sprouted, and are already growing tall. It makes us both very proud to see our hard work pay off.
About a week ago, Tiffany and I took a trip to Bledsoe Creek State Park. We woke up before the sun came up, and drove to the park just in time to see all the local deer grazing. everywhere you looked, there were deer, we had to have seen 15 driving in, and at least 10 more while hiking the trails throughout the park. Along with the deer, we also got to see 2 Guinna Foul, and an entire family of Wild Turkeys, (Mom, Dad and about 10 baby's). The park was wonderful, and aside from bringing home a few ticks on our clothes, Id say that day was perfect. A much needed vacation from the apartment.
Tiffany is getting her wisdom teeth removed tomorrow morning, so she will be out of commition for the next few days. Earlier tonight, we went out and purchased what she'll be eating for the rest of the week, our checkout consisted of mashed potatoes, tomato soup, spaghettiO's, Jello, and Tapioca pudding. So if anyone wants to call and send their love, I'm sure she'd appreciate it.
I will post another blog as soon as we get to the farm in Kentucky to keep everyone updated.
We miss you all so much, and hope everything is going well back in Florida.
Much love.
